When it comes to protection, slopes and berms present a complex challenge. However, Milliken Infrastructure Solutions provides an effective, efficient means of addressing these issues. Imagine being able to use concrete on slopes, in water, and in other hard-to-reach places, with no molds, no mixing and minimal equipment. Concrete Cloth™ cementitious mat provides excellent erosion protection for berms and can serve as a permanent covering or temporary solution.
Exceptional versatility makes Concrete Cloth™ GCCM an ideal solution for excavation, retaining walls, berm lining and other slope protection needs The ground-breaking technology of Concrete Cloth material makes it possible to use concrete on slopes, in water, and in other hard-to-reach locations, with no forms, no mixing and minimal equipment. An engineered concrete in roll form, Concrete Cloth GCCM is fabricated with a three-dimensional structure that reinforces the concrete, providing strength and durability, while employing up to 95 percent less material than conventional concrete methods. Concrete Cloth material can be quickly cut and secured in place, making it ideal for reinforcing or rehabilitating a culvert or drainage ditch, abutment, column or other structure. Once hydrated, the cloth cures quickly to form a rigid, durable and waterproof 5,000-psi concrete surface. The cloth remains flexible for up to two hours and is easily manipulated to fit the contours of irregular installations.
The innovative structure and performance of Concrete Cloth material helps extend the ability of cities and transportation departments to repair infrastructure effectively, more efficiently, and at lower cost than other methods. Less material and ease of installation means faster installation and project completion, with less traffic disruption when compared to traditional concrete repair and construction methods. Ultimately, overall project costs are reduced, easing the strain on limited infrastructure budgets.
