MIS Engineers Present on Pipe Wrap® Composite and GeoSpray® Mortar Systems at CORROSION 2019
Milliken Infrastructure Solutions (MIS) attended NACE International’s CORROSION 2019 Conference & Expo on March 25-28, 2019. CORROSION is the world’s largest event for the prevention and mitigation of corrosion that welcomes more than 6000 corrosion professionals from around the world each year. MIS had great representation this year, with four presentations detailing projects that highlighted either our composite or geopolymer systems.
Joe Royer, our Development Manager, highlighted how GeoSpray® geopolymer mortar was used to reinforce a corroded concrete sanitary sewer pipe through the utilization of a geopolymer lining.
Casey Whalen, Engineering Supervisor, and Myles Johnson, Development Engineer, represented our Pipe Wrap® system product lines. Casey presented on the importance of installation and post-repair techniques in the field as well as highlighted the use of one of our products, the FormaShield® system, on the repair of a vertical knock-out drum in a separate presentation. Myles gave a presentation how a composite repair is an ideal solution for harsh repair environments, particularly in the Middle East.
Each MIS employee also took time during their presentations to educate attendees on the history and chemistry behind geopolymer mortars or composite systems and repair processes.
If you were unable to attend any of our presentations or stop by our booth at CORROSION 2019, please feel free to contact us to learn more about how our products and engineering team can help support your next repair or rehabilitation project.
